Blue eyed cats cannot be registered. |
May be registered on the Active Register only if they have been:
1. Genetically test and proved to be clear of PKDef, PRA rdAc, GM2, Hypokalaemia Polymyopathy, Burmese Congenital Craniofacial defect, and Burmese Colour Restriction.
2. Or if by Both parents have been tested normal (clear). They are from parents deemed normal (clear) because of the results from testing (as in 1) of cats on every pedigree line in previous generations. Pedigree line in this case refers to both of the parents, or 4 grandparents, 8 great-grandparents, 16 great-great-grandparents and so on, or any combination of the same which is inclusive of the ancestors of both the sire and dam. |
All progeny of Variant x Variant matings will be registered on the Reference Register as ‘no recognised breed’ with no progression.
Cats of Ocicat appearance produced from matings to other recognised breeds whose Registration Policies permit Ocicats as an outcross breed shall be registered as directed by the Registration Policy for the other breed, but with no reference to Ocicat type, and shall not be permitted in the pedigrees of Ocicats.
All other cats of Ocicat appearance which in their pedigrees within the preceding five generations have any breeds other than Ocicats or Abyssinians shall be registered on the Reference Register as ‘no recognised breed’ with no progression. |
