Longhair Exotics that meet Persian colour descriptions are eligible to compete in Persian colour classes. These cats are identified by a registration prefix of 4498-4499, 4698-4699 and 4598-4599. A longhair division for Exotics will be created for scoring purposes only and National/regional points accumulated by longhair Exotics shown in Persian colour classes will count towards longhair Exotic breed and colour class wins, not towards Persian wins.

PKD testing a requirement in some FIFe registries.

It is strongly recommended that all cats used for breeding should be gene tested for PKD.

Cats in the Persian Group (i.e. Exotic & Persian) are freely intermated and the progeny registered as either Persian or Exotic, depending on Phenotype – all Persian progeny from Exotic parent/s however, shall have dual breed numbers for the first generation..
