For breeding purposes only, the Manx/Cymric breed group comprises the following tail lengths:
Manx/Cymric may be mated within the breed group, with the exception of Rumpy x Rumpy.

Cymric (part of breed group
All colours allowed with the exception of amber
All colour varieties and patterns are permitted including al colour varieties with white; any amount of white is permissible
Rumpy Manx/Cymric to Rumpy Manx/Cymric not permitted
Rumpy Riser (a rise of bone at the end of the spine which does not stop the hand)
Cats with one or two tailbones will be registered as Stumpy Manx (maximum length of tail 3cm)
Manx having at least three generations of MAN/CYM 51,52,53 and 54 prior to the actual cat must be registered in the LO registry.
Manx having MAN 54 in its pedigree in one or more of the three generations prior to the cat in question, will be registered in the LO pedigree book.
MAN 51 = Manx Rumpy.
MAN 52 = Manx Rumpy Riser
MAN 53 = Manx Stumpy
MAN 54 = Tailed Manx – only allowed for breeding purposes not allowed for showing.
